Work Study - Additional Financial Aid

Thursday, May 04, 2017
Work study programs: they are a form of financial aid sponsored by the federal government and colleges. These are funds earned by students for work on campus and are credited to tuition and fees, but can also be used for living expenses.  These programs are offered first to students with financial need.  After the first few weeks of school, the programs open up to the rest of the students.  Work assignments can range from office work, working at sporting events, and driving school shuttles.  Financial aid from work study programs does not have to be paid back. In 2010 the average aid per student was $2400 and approximately 7.5% of undergraduates participated in a work study program. Comments
