How Do I Apply To College

In Blog by Suzanne Duncombe

The college applications are similar to each other, but there are different applications for different types of schools. The California State, University California, Common and Universal Applications can be found on our website under Resources. The sites will have a list of which schools accept that application. Although they have a similar layout, the questions and essays will be on different topics. Grades, test scores, and other qualifications are the first things considered: from there it is up to your essay. The essay is what sets you apart from everyone else. The piece following is where any other abilities and extracurricular activities help to diversify you. This is just an outline of the overall layout of the application: the application gets more in depth. It is rather long and is designed to get an in depth idea of the type of person and student you are to see if you are a fit for the school. Prepare ahead of time! The deadline for most major applications is November 30th. The FAFSA will come out after the 1st of the new year.

If you have any questions about the applications, essays, what you should consider including, or what to be prepared for, please don’t hesitate to call or email us. You will not be added to a mailer or contact list. We are here to help.
